Extract MP3 audio from a video
Use this tool when you need the speech, music or soundtrack from a video as a separate audio file. Convertios removes the video stream and encodes the available audio track as a 192 kbps MP3 that works with common phones, computers, editors and music players.
Compatible input formats
You can upload MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, AVI, M4V, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, OGV, TS, FLV and WMV video files. The source must contain an audio track. A silent video cannot produce useful MP3 audio.
How to convert video to MP3
- Select or drag a video up to 50 MB into the upload area.
- Press Convert to MP3 and keep the page open.
- Wait while FFmpeg extracts and encodes the audio.
- The resulting MP3 downloads automatically.
Privacy and file deletion
Video extraction runs on the self-hosted Convertios backend. Files exist only inside a temporary processing directory and are automatically removed after the request finishes. We do not build a media library, retain uploads or use your content for training.
