Turn photos and scans into a PDF
Many forms, schools and offices ask for a PDF even when what you have is a set of photos: pages of a handwritten assignment, a receipt photographed on your phone, an ID card front and back, or a few scanned pages. This tool places each JPG or PNG image on its own page and saves them all as one PDF.

Before you create the PDF
- Uncheck Include to leave out blurry or duplicate shots. The PDF follows the order of the images in the list.
- Phone photos taken sideways are turned upright automatically using the orientation stored by the camera.
- JPG photos are usually embedded without recompression. Photos that need camera-orientation correction are re-encoded as JPEGs, which can slightly change quality and file size. The PDF size depends largely on the images you include.
If the PDF has to stay under an upload limit, shrink the photos first with Compress Image or the Image Resizer, then create the PDF.
Photographing documents for a PDF
Lay the page flat in daylight, hold the phone directly above it so the edges are straight, and fill the frame with the paper. A well-lit photo looks almost like a scan and keeps the PDF readable when printed.
